massage/bodywork sessions in my studio

I offer 1 to 3 hour sessions. Whether you are coming in dealing with pain, grief, weariness or celebration, each session focuses on bringing you to center and settling your nervous system and is in direct response to what we discuss prior to the session and what I feel and intuit your system needs. In each session I am present, focused and attentive, honing in to how your body is responding to my contact, using the techniques and depth of pressure that is called for.
Our nervous systems are highly responsive to sound and vibration so although each session is unique, each begins and ends with the sound of gongs and the vibration of Himalayan singing bowls on your body, and finally a rain stick to bring you gently back.
All sessions are on a sliding scale.

Gong therapy sessions in my studio

I have a Master in Expressive Art Therapy and have worked as a therapist since 1989. Gong play requires a certain sense of presence, facilitating focus, grounding, centering, listening and connecting to the heart. This work is particularly helpful to those experiencing stress, anxiety, lack of self-esteem, loss of sense of self and ADHD. Playing gongs have an immediate effect on most people, bringing them right in the moment, supporting focus, grounding and connecting with the heart. These sessions may incorporate any of the other more traditional aspects of expressive arts therapy such as drawing, movement, talking, writing.

Public & corporate events

These events are fabulous and unique additions to corporate wellness programs. They promote relaxation, mindfulness and focus and are inclusive events, appropriate for all ages and abilities.
It is recommended that participants bring:
  • Yoga mats to lie down (although comfortable chairs also work, particularly reclining chairs. Those in wheelchairs are most welcome!)
  • Eye pillows or eye masks to help achieve a deeper state of relaxation.
  • Neck support with either a pillow or folded towel, sweater, etc.
  • A cozy covering, such as a blanket.
  • Wearing comfortable clothing is recommended.
Public events can be entertaining, fascinating and captivating with addition of gongs!
